Laura Sehdeva is an instructional designer with a passion for helping others build on their strengths to increase their effectiveness and advance their professional growth. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from Swarthmore College and an M.A. in Educational Communication and Technology from New York University. She brings to her work a sound background in instructional design methodology, cognitive science, and adult learning theory.
Laura has eight years' experience developing eLearning courses and blended learning programs in the healthcare, aviation, and banking industries. At JetBlue Airways, she was the manager of a group of nine team members responsible for designing and developing eLearning courses, online job aids, instructional video, and print courseware used to train JetBlue employees in all areas of the operation. Most recently, Laura has worked as an independent consultant based in the New York City area. Projects have included developing classroom training, job aids, and eLearning for users of a new flight booking system (JetBlue Airways); consulting with new users of Adobe Captivate (Creative 4 Media); and creating online tutorials for users of a web-based banking system (Federal Home Loan Bank of New York). Laura also serves as the Chairperson for Volunteer Development/Training for the nonprofit Junior League of Westchester on the sound.
